Release Notes: HybridForms Anniversary Edition (March 2025)
This year, we are celebrating a double anniversary: 30 years of team icomedias and 10 years of HybridForms! And there’s even more reason to celebrate: The new Anniversary Edition is now available as Version 10.
The mobile Client App is available in the public App Stores and, for all customers, also as a protected download via sideloading in the internal service portal. Additionally, the HybridForms Core Server, the Progressive Web App, and the ReachOut Server have all been updated to Version 10.
What’s new in Version 10?
New standard themes & Dark Mode
The selection of predefined UI themes for form display has been expanded. In addition to the previous Classic theme, there are now also Modern and Dynamic themes, which can be selected via the App settings.
- UI Theme: Classic, Modern, Dynamic
- UI Mode: Light, Dark, Auto
The themes can be applied to all forms and checklists. They affect the design but not the functionality. Switching between UI themes and adjusting the UI mode is possible at any time – for example, switching to Dark Mode in low-light conditions.

Custom themes & branding
Starting with Version 10, it is possible to create custom UI themes. The branding of forms and checklists can be tailored to specific customer needs, ranging from the integration of a company logo to adjustments in the color palette and fonts to reflect a company’s brand identity. The custom theme can then be selected via the options in the App settings.

»New« badge in listings
Forms that have been assigned to you by another user / admin or returned to the group are highlighted with a »New» badge in the list view, making new entries instantly recognizable. This feature enhances the user experience of the HybridForms Client App and ensures that no new forms are overlooked.

Action Sheets for mobile views of media functions
Action Sheets make it even faster to access media functions such as photos, maps, or sketching on smartphones. They appear as colored bars at the bottom of the screen, providing an easy way to quickly access various contextual information.

Roaming of settings for subscribed processes
The selected form types in the App settings are automatically synchronized across devices – ideal if you are logged in on multiple devices.

New professional map module
This paid module enables integration with internal GIS servers (e.g., ESRI) with layers, spatial data, multi-pick options, and custom configurations tailored to customer needs.
Use: For companies and public authorities with professional geospatial data infrastructure (GDI).
Deadline function for form status
With this feature, you can set due dates for a form status. If there is no activity after the deadline (e.g., in edit mode), the system can automatically trigger workflows, such as sending reminders to the user or reassigning the form to the group.

Catalog updates via workflow
A new server workflow can now edit and expand existing catalogs (server-side and secure). For example, completed field entries from user forms can be added to a catalog. The new entries are then available to all forms that have integrated this catalog.

Revised developer documentation with AI chatbot
Our developer documentation is currently being completely revised and expanded. Soon, an AI-powered chatbot will be available to quickly provide answers to questions about creating form templates and workflows, along with the appropriate code snippets.

The current version of the HybridForms App for mobile devices with Android, iOS or Windows can be downloaded from the App stores. The Progressive Web App (PWA) for web browsers on laptops and desktop PCs is available directly from the HybridForms Server.
