Energienetze Steiermark GmbH documents the exchange of standard meters for gas systems with authentic signature: assignments, data and results in the gas meter inspection and replacement process are digitally recorded on-site by the service teams. The protocols are signed by the customers directly on the tablet.

HybridForms: Digital forms for utilities & grids

The entire process for the gas meter exchange – from the assignment to the mobile processing on-site with tablets, to sending the signed document to the customer – is handled completely digitally and securely in the workflow.

All services are now digitally documented by the service technician. The customer also signs by hand on the tablet – and receives the document seconds later as a PDF by e-mail. This saves time, avoids mistakes and creates trust.

The complete process is realized through a digital Stages Workflow System with HybridForms. Individual stages can only be completed when all necessary entries have been made correctly. This ensures process security and adherence to all compliance requirements.

Interfaces to internal applications enable immediate data reconciliation. If defects are detected during the inspection of a gas system, HybridForms is used to initiate a block and set deadlines in the connected internal systems for repairing the defects.

Exchange and inspection reports on paper had to be laboriously prepard by employees in the back office, printed out and assigned by hand. The paper forms were then filled in by the service specialists on site – even though most of this data had already been stored several times in other central systems.
