Release Notes: HybridForms Client App Version 8 (July 2020)
With the release of the new HybridForms Version 8 a number of new features and improvements are available. The current version of the mobile app for Android, iOS and Windows can be downloaded as a free demo version from the App Stores.
HybridForms Version 8: New features
Stages and workflow
Processing of forms in stages – by different users with different visibility and workflow actions such as e-mail dispatch, owner/group change or status change
Adaptive dynamic checklists
Checklists with dynamic blocks that are displayed depending on certain conditions (such as user groups or entered data) by retrieving the data catalog from an attached Excel file
Advanced biometric signature
Integration of additional security functions as well as output according to ISO/IEC 19794-7 format and secure encryption of biometric data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union (GDPR)
Dynamic and static maps and geodata
Universal Map Interface to support Google, Bing, OpenStreetMaps, ESRI and SynerGIS ProOffice
Drawing mode with pressure sensitivity
Improved drawing and annotation capabilities for images and sketches with integration of frames, ellipses and arrows as well as line width with pressure sensitivity
Grouped forms on list page
Grouping and displaying of forms on the list page according to areas for better overview
Scheduled delete function
Definition of retention periods and complete deletion of data in accordance with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
Authentication with ADFS and Azure AD
OpenID Connect / OAuth2 authentication with Microsoft Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) and Azure Active Directory (AD)

Continuous development and updates
The HybridForms suite is constantly being improved and optimized. New devices are supported and new functions are made available. Many of the new releases are developed in cooperation with customers and based on special requirements in customer projects. If such feature requests from customers are regarded as product improvements and fit into the HybridForms product roadmap, icomedias (as producer of HybridForms) is eager to support this by generalizing requirements and then adding them as core functions. icomedias then also takes a share in the development costs for these functions.
This is one of the advantages of the customer-centric product approach versus the development of small individual solutions: New innovative product features are available to all customers of various industries, based on the practice-orientated and special requirements of other users.
